About Us
Introduction...
ISBOG was founded in July 2004 by Amy Steele and Emily Bittner, two small business owners, beginning to establish their business presence in Sussex County. This organization was created as an informal group of small business owners, both men and women, who benefit from sharing of business ideas and information. Our first chapter was established in Sussex Boro and we continue to meet there monthly at the Just Desserts Cafe.
By June 2006, ISBOG has expanded to a participant group of over 60 businesses with 2 active chapters, Sussex and Sparta. We are getting calls and email from interested business owners every month.
In June 2007, we opened our third chapter in Augusta and have 135 members on the email address list.
Update September 2008: ISBOG has over 188 associated businesses! We are planning our second annual ISBOG Extravaganza event on Sept. 20th at Sussex Tech in Sparta.
